Located within 67km and about one hour drive, Taormina can be easily reached by car from Vincenzo Bellini Catania Airport. There are tolls along the way, so be sure to take a ticket at the first gate and have some change for the automated toll booths. Head in the direction of Messina on E45, following the signs towards Taormina. Once at the Taormina junction, exit E45 and pay the toll which will be approximately a couple of euros. Continue onto Via Mario e Nicola Garipoli/Svincolo Taormina Nord and Galleria Monte Tauro. Once you exit the tunnel, you will find the Parcheggio Porta Catania where you can park. If you're staying at our Center apartments, Parcheggio Porta Catania is the closest parking option. It's important to know that the parking for Apartment at Porta Pasquale, Parcheggio Lumbi, is located just before Galleria Monte Tauro.
For our beach apartment, take a turn for Mazzeo, once you get off the highway at the Taormina exit. Head stright to the property. Our Beach location has onsite parking!
If you're considering traveling to Taormina from Catania or any other city, you can opt to take the train. However, it's important to note that the train station, Taormina - Giardini, is located about 200 meters in elevation below Taormina. That means walking to the city center will take you over 40 minutes up a very steep and curvy road. To get to the Taormina center, we recommend you either take a bus or a taxi from the train station. The bus will drop you off at the Central Bus Station, while a taxi can take you directly to our apartments.
If you're looking for an affordable and straightforward way to get to Taormina from Catania Airport, taking the bus is your best bet. You can purchase tickets for Taormina from Interbus/Etna Bus company and take the bus to Via Pirandello - Taormina Center, the final stop (also known as Terminal Bus). Our Center apartments are just a 15-minute walk from the Taormina bus station and Apartment at Porta Pasquale is only a 10 minute stroll. To get to our beach apartment you would buy a ticket directly for Mazzeo, Taormina. The stop is Fermata Copacabana.
If you are heading to our Beach Apartment, your Train stops at Letojanni. From there, its only 7 minutes on foot to the apartment.
